Mitsubishi Motors is no stranger to charitable causes and routinely takes part in philanthropic endeavors to support those in need. This past August, the auto company announced its support of The Asher House, which is an organization that is working hard to help shelter dogs find loving forever homes. To help the organization, Mitsubishi gave Lee Asher – the organization’s founder – and his team an all-new 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.
The support comes as part of Mitsubishi’s “Drive your Ambition” campaign. As chief operating officer of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Mark Chaffin, stated, “Our consumers have wide-ranging ambitions in life and Mitsubishi Motors is here to help drive those ambitions. Lee started with a passion when he created The Asher House and it has become a movement to help raise awareness for rescue animals and shelters across the country; Asher’s bold decision to take action on his ambition is admirable and we’re privileged to be able to help support his mission.”
Along with the sophisticated new Eclipse Cross to drive Asher, his team, and his six adopted dogs around the U.S. for adoption and advocacy events, Mitsubishi will provide support to the organization for local rescue and social events.
Lee Asher quit his job, raised money to buy an RV, and began traveling around the U.S. to raise awareness about shelter dogs and hold adoption events, founding the Asher House in 2017. Since the organization’s founding, Asher has helped 146 dogs find homes.
Here’s hoping that Asher helps far more dogs find new homes. Meanwhile, if you are welcoming your own furry friend home, we would be more than happy to show you the most dog-friendly models here at Tom Hodges Mitsubishi.
